BRIEF HISTORY: The Klášterec porcelain plant was established by Count Franz Joseph Thun and J.N.Weber in 1794, the second oldest factory in Bohemia. It was built in the town which was the Thun family estate. From 1819 to 1945 the business was run by the Thun's as the Count Thun Porcelain Factory. In 1947 the factory was nationalized.
